“Outside his own kingdom the hunter becomes the hunted” -from the wisdom of Voltan. Joe Vaux’s art is inspired by the thrill of the hunt and man’s desecration of the natural world… a blend of fantasy and emotion. It leaves you wondering who is the predator and who is the prey… and hopefully makes you smile.
The son of two artists, Joe Vaux was always surrounded by art supplies. He began his creative career in the animation field working for Ralph Bakshi in the mid 90’s while developing his unique painting style. His paintings are surreal and ultimately inspired by a dark sense of humor. He resides in Los Angeles with his family.
